The Heathvale Estate Range was produced in response to the demand for a straight varietal to complement our popular ‘Angry Rabbit’ red blend.
The grapes are all sourced from our Estate Shiraz plantings, are hand-picked and fermented using wild yeasts to commence the ferment.
Basket pressed into older oak, the wine is aged for 15-18 in barrel before bottling. The wine receives minimal fining and filtration.
Tended and raised with care and sensitivity here is an Eden Valley shiraz of presence, fullness and poise. Compact and crunchy, dense blackberry, satsuma plum fruit and licorice take the lead. Oak is sensitively deployed, building structure and persistence more than flavour. Fine-ground tannins furnish a long life.
The new look label was designed by our daughter Sally to give a more contemporary feel to the new product.
